They would be wrong.

On Friday I decided to teach some of our UX designers what our vehicles were capable of doing off-road.

It’s a good thing flatbed tow trucks generally have alot of ground clearance.

I was just yesterday wondering what happened to you

Some say, on cold lonely nights, you can hear a Disco blowing it’s head gaskets in the woods.

Against my own sanity, someday, I’ll get a Disco. They’re crazy inexpensive to the point of being disposable when they break. Old Euro cars don’t scare me!

So busy! I’ve been getting some more supplies for a longer roadtrip, possibly to Baja. I’ll need to do a writeup on some of the improvements!

I bought mine from a Pacific Coast Rover Club member and it was well taken care of. This thing has gone everywhere over the past year.

Baja is on my list too, when you going?

I usually only hear, “awesome a Land Rover playing in the woods!” from Jeep owners.

November 14 - 21. Trying to go down and watch some Baja 1000 and get some sunshine

Late at night, when the air is still and the sky is full of twinkling stars, stop and listen carefully. You’ll just barely hear it over the sound of the blood rushing through your skull:

“Drip... drip... ”

And then, it stops. That most comforting sound - the quiet reassurance that her parts haven’t yet run dry - is gone. Your weekend plans have been ruined.

One day, your partner will run out of forgiveness.

I don’t own a Jeep.

I own a Willys. It’s better and also worse.

Nope, this thing only leaks water from the A/C condenser.

Hey, Oregon! Both me and my 4Runner are on the east coast for school right now but next summer when presumably both me and it will be back home in Oregon for at least a few months(job search leaves much in the air) I would honestly really appreciate the opportunity to run some trails with someone who actually knows what they’re doing and could give me some pointers

Top hat liners then? Or are you one of the lucky ones who found a D2 that some idiot didn’t over heat to the point of liner slippage?

Is that all the articulation you get out of the front? I thought Discos had sold front axles.

I was smart enough to only buy a 2nd owner car and the 2nd owner was in the local Rover Club. He took care of it so now I can wheel it and pinstripe the paint.

It is a solid axel in the front. You can get more articulation by disconnecting the sway bar, but the point of me going out was to teach our UX designers how our terrain response system works.

This was a demonstration of having a wheel in the air and using the traction control system to brake the wheel in the air to apply torque to the wheel on the ground.

Lets do it! I’ve led a trail run for this group in the past.

They’re super fun and always open to take new people out for some fun.

I have to admit the T/C on my D2 never ceases to amaze me. Especially because I’ve wheeled with it working (did the whole bypass fix and have never looked back) and with the 3 amigo’s.

No lies, I had a ‘69 Series II that leaked so much I just left a mountain of kitty litter under it in the garage, and I’ll admit it. This one is fine.

Hi, I’m Ben and I’m a Land Rover owner that loves it so much he went to work for the company.

I’ll join it! I’ll be around for a bit in the winter but unless my dad wants to let me take his Acura MDX off roading it’ll be summer when I’ll actually have my truck at home too
